Pirates of Devil's Cove (UN-C-739)
1.The Bloody Molly was originally the HMS Swift. The finest frigate of its time built as the flagship of the British naval fleet, it was to be presented to King Charles II at a naval gala in Southampton.
Under the cover of the celebration that was taking place in the King's honour - Gallows Jones and his crew sneaked aboard the pride of the fleet, slaughtering the ship's skeleton crew and set sail away from port.
The alarm was quickly raised and the town's defensive guns were aimed towards Jones. But Jones's crew had already sabotaged the town's weaponry.
In response, Jones turned the ships numerous cannons against the town. After ensuring the remaining ships in port were sunk, so no chase could be given, Captain Jones then fired his guns on the gathered crowds.
