Long Claw (UN-B-0281)
Left for dead by the beast, Wellington somehow recovered from his injuries.

Upon regaining consciousness, Professor Wellington issued instructions that his research on the Rocarff treasure be destroyed. Wellington reported no more sightings of the creature and died of natural causes at the age 89.

Though it was widely believed that the research had been destroyed as per Wellington's directions, the papers were in fact stolen before his instructions could be carried out.

The papers were sold to several academics, before being acquired on behalf of the Keeper's Guild in 1871.

3. The Keeper's Guild hold many reports of Long Claw attacks, and the curse associated with it has prevented all but the most foolhardy of adventurers from trying to locate the treasure in modern years.
